So I am supposed to educate everyone today.... I spent most of my day
chick wrestling (and for you with your minds in the gutter, I am talking
about baby chicks). So I thought I would educate you on how to tell
chicks apart (at least the 8 breed we brought home).
Golden Laced Wynadotte |
They are mostly black with gold markings.
Silver Laced Wynadotte |
Mostly black with silver markings.
Black Sex Link |
All Black
Golden Comet |
Light goldish/red color with darker red markings.
Aurancana |
These little ones have several different looks. Mine has cheek "tufts" (basically looks like stuffed chipmunk cheeks). They come in different shades of brown with darker colored black and brown markings.
Barred Rock |
All black with a white marking on the top of there head and on their chest.
Rhode Island Red |
These little ones are dark reddish brown.
Light Brahma |
These little ones are light fluffy yellow with feathers all down their legs.
So that is my little bit of education...

Oh my goodness, they are all so precious. I never realized there were so many different breeds (is that the right term?)
