17 Week Bumpdate

I first want to thank anyone who reads this post. This has been a tough decision for me because of the  fact that I am plus sized to begin with, you may not see a cute baby bump presented here as fast as you would on a non-plus sized woman. I felt that it was still important to track and share my pregnancy through the blog, to help preserve my memories.

How Far Along: 17 weeks
Due Date: 7.7.14
Gender: N/A(Hopefully We will find out on February 21st)
Names: Makenna Leigh or Liam Mason
Movement: Maybe? I think I have felt the little bugger move but I am not sure.

Size:  Onion
Weight Gain: NONE! I started my pregnancy at 240lbs and currently resided at about 235lbs.

Maternity Clothes: I have bought some shirts and a pair jeans but can basically fit into all my own clothes still, they are a little snug though. In another post I may rant about the injustice of plus sized maternity options.....
Symptoms: I have been getting "growing pains" in my hips at night when I go to change positions and have to get up and visit it the bathroom several times in the night.
Cravings: SALAD and Fruit! Oh and Pickles....
Sleep:  For the most part it is okay. A little broken up with the whole visiting the bathroom and "growing pains" but I still manage at least 8 hours.
Stretch Marks: Already had them
My Overall Health: I seem to be doing great. Because of family history the doctors are monitoring my blood sugar levels for gestational diabetes. But I saw the doctor yesterday and he is absolutely happy with my blood sugar levels.
What I miss: Sleeping like the dead.
Wedding Rings On or Off?:  On
Belly Button: In
Best Moment:  Hearing the little one's heartbeat at the doctors appointment via the doppler. I also heard her/him moving around. (Note the clicks you hear on the doppler are the baby moving.)
My next Doctors appointment is on February 21st and we will hopefully find out what we are having!

When seconds count...

"When seconds count, the deputy sheriff is only 35 minutes away" Sootch00

This is not always true, but in a lot of cases in rural America that number could be even longer. It is so important to take your own well being into your hands. You can not depend on others to keep your safe, whether its a natural disaster, doomsday scenario, or as simple as someone breaking into your house.

What would you do, if you came home to a broken window, things thrown every where? Would you call the cops? Would you pull your side arm and go in?

This is what Don did, who is more well known as Sootch00 in certain circles.

How do you think he handled it? Would you do the same?

My thoughts on how he handled it was very good. Don is highly trained Sheep Dog, so he is really no one too be messing with. I wouldn't suggest going in and trying to confront a burglar, unless there is danger too others. If you watch the whole video, he states he backed out of the house after entering because his family was not home.

Watching this video has made me realize that I should probably start locking my guns up better when I am not at home. No one wants to have a firearm stolen, and have it be used in another crime.

Music! What I listen too, why I like it, and a bunch of other stuff.

I like lots of types of music, especially as I get older. I used to listen to alternative rock, but now I prefer more Hard Rock. I used to hate country music, and now when I turn on the radio its on a country station. Lots of people don't know this but I used to work for a mail order company that sold almost exclusively classical music. I never got into listening to classical music, but while working that I exposed my self to other types of music.

I literally listen to music all day at work on construction sites, sometimes even when I am not supposed to. I feel I work better while listening to something, it has a calming affect and it speeds my day up.

I believe that music evokes emotions from everyone, and I tend to latch on to certain bands. I listen to music that I feel has a message, and speaks to me as a person and my beliefs in my life. Both Rock and Country music I think can evoke a lot of emotions, and have positive messages for young people.

Music is dislike, and is unfortunately spoon fed to our kids is Pop music. I simply don't have use for it as a whole. Yeah its fun, has good beats you can dance too, catchy lyrics, but usually has a horrible content. Some times it is a good song, which is being performed by a talented singer, but has a horrible music video.

To be very specific the music I gravitate towards is Hard Rock with a mixture of singing and SCREAMING, but that screaming to the point you cant understand what is being said.

What I like...
Watch Both Videos, it is a continuation of the first.
One more from Trivium for fun.

Five Finger Death Punch

I could post all kinds of videos, but these will have to do for now. If you watch any of these watch the last one I posted, but please watch them all. You never know you may like it.
